The Sac à Dépeche was first introduced by Hermès in 1937, one of its first customers being HRH the Duke of Windsor. John Kennedy famously has an example in black crocodile given to him by Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy in 1953. The Sac à Dépeche remains in production today.

This briefcase comes in the 38cm and 41cm size; this is the larger of the two.

Adjustable front strap with three holes, center clasp lock, key and clochette. In the gold color of deep caramel tan, with contrast white stitching, in a courchevel grained leather (replaced by epsom) and 24k gold plated hardware.

Two main compartments on interior and front narrow compartment. Accordion sides and bottom expand or narrow according to contents and therefore adjustable also on front with the three holes.
